Hudu v2.42.0 is now live. This release brings AI tooling connectivity to your documentation, a new onboarding experience for first-time instances, and a batch of quality-of-life improvements.

Highlights
Hudu MCP Server
Connect AI tools directly to your Hudu instance with the new Hudu MCP server. Teams can now use MCP-compatible AI tools — like Claude, Cursor, and others — to read, create, and edit KB articles, read assets, and review activity logs without leaving their AI environment. This gives MSPs and IT teams a way to use AI against their actual documentation, not just generic prompts.
The MCP server currently supports KB article read/edit/create, asset reads, and activity log reads, with more capabilities on the way.
Please note: There is a known bug in Cursor (as of v3.3.30) that prevents re-authentication for custom MCP servers. The Cursor team is aware and actively working on a fix.
New onboarding experience
Brand new Hudu instances now get a guided setup wizard and the option to populate a sample company with seed data. Admins setting up a new instance can walk through initial configuration step-by-step and see what a fully built-out Hudu company looks like — before adding any real data. First-time setups also now include email and password confirmations to reduce setup errors from the start.
