Hudu v2.42.0 is now live. Please note: self-hosted environments must make a change to the default.conf file prior to updating. Updates to cloud hosted environments will begin today.
Notes for Release
Self hosted instances: default.conf needs to be updated to contain three additional location blocks. Please see the full default.conf file here and reach out to support with any questions.
New Features
- Hudu MCP Server: Unlock AI-assisted documentation management, content creation, and auditing capabilities directly in Hudu by connecting AI tools to your Hudu instance. The Hudu MCP server currently supports read, edit, and create KB articles, read assets, and read activity logs, with additional capabilities to come. Note: there is a known bug in Cursor (as of 3.3.30) preventing re-authentication for custom MCP servers. The Cursor team is aware of the bug and working to fix.

- Added email and password confirmations for first-time setups
- Added 23 new asset layout templates
- Auto-generated process run names now apply the creator’s timezone instead of UTC

- CSV export errors when unsupported characters exist in a company's quick notes or records
- List items containing an apostrophe not displaying
- Incorrect page scrolling when a URL from a heading is also used within the body of the KB article
- PDF generation errors that occasionally caused large exports to fail
- Assets without connected fields incorrectly displaying connected fields banner
- Unable to rename PDF KB articles
- Top nav bar shifting when company logo is small
- Inaccurate leaderboard scores
- Logo size issues when viewing Hudu emails in Legacy Outlook
- Integration sync error when two companies with the same name exist in the integration platform
- Hudu company names not updating correctly for Datto RMM integration
- Other minor bug fixes & improvements
