Why did you switch to Hudu?

Dispersed documentation and no consistent standard

We were using SharePoint, but that was very time consuming because the information was dispersed and everyone had a way to document things. With Hudu all of that changed for the better.

How are you using Hudu?

We improved our documentation through the API using scripts and automations helping us even more with our time management. For passwords we use Hudu Assist which also helps us.

Password management

Hudu's built-in password vault gives HES a secure, centralized place to store and access credentials across the team — replacing the dispersed, inconsistent methods that made SharePoint so time consuming.

Hudu Assist

Hudu Assist puts documentation and passwords directly in the browser, giving the team fast access to client information without switching platforms mid-ticket.

API & automation

Hudu's open API is at the heart of how HES operates. Rui has built custom scripts that scan assets and input them directly into the IPAM, and multiple Magic Dash scripts that surface network summaries, infrastructure overviews, and even printer ink levels — all automatically. If Hudu doesn't do something out of the box, the API makes it possible to build it.

Magic Dash

Hudu's Magic Dash turns client overview pages into dynamic, real-time dashboards. For HES, it's the command center that ties everything together — displaying live network data, infrastructure summaries, and custom metrics built entirely through the API.

Microsoft 365 integration

Hudu's Microsoft 365 integration syncs user and licensing data automatically into Hudu, keeping client records accurate without manual entry.
