Hudu 2.48 is live!

This release brings two new integrations, email-first sign-in, smarter search, IP ranges on networks, number field types, and new dashboard widgets. It also includes improvements and fixes across integrations, API, MCP, and the text editor.

New integration: Huntress

Hudu now integrates with Huntress. Connect with a Huntress API key and secret, match Huntress organizations to Hudu companies, and sync Huntress agents into Hudu as devices for matched companies. Each synced device shows agent details such as hostname, platform, OS, serial number, IP and MAC address, and EDR version. You can map Huntress data points to asset layout fields as connected fields.

New integration: Tactical RMM

Hudu now integrates with Tactical RMM. Connect with your Tactical RMM API URL and API key, match Tactical RMM clients to Hudu companies, and sync agents as devices for matched companies. Agent data can populate connected fields. Device types are set from each agent’s platform and monitoring type, so servers, workstations, and Macs can go to the right asset layouts on the first sync.

Email-first sign-in

Sign-in now starts with your email address, then continues based on your account’s authorization process. This reduces how often users unknowingly try to sign in with a method their account doesn’t support.

Smarter search results

Search now matches your words in any order and ranks results by relevance, with exact name matches first. This applies to the main search bar, advanced search, Hudini mentions, the MCP, and the API.

A new “Within Central KB” filter is also available in header and advanced search.

NinjaOne custom fields as connected fields

NinjaOne custom fields can now sync into Hudu as connected fields. Map the custom data your team already tracks in NinjaOne, like assigned user or backup status, to asset layout fields, and Hudu keeps it current on every sync. Techs get the full picture in their documentation without copying values between tools.

IP ranges on networks

Networks now support IP ranges, including DHCP scopes and reserved blocks.

Currency and percentage number fields

Number fields on asset layouts can now be classified as number, currency, or percentage. Techs can enter decimals, and values display with the matching symbol or suffix, for example $45.50 or 12.5%.

New dashboard widgets

Two new widgets put cross-client visibility right on your dashboard:

  • Pwned Passwords shows every password across your companies that appears in known breach data, so you can find weak credentials and rotate them without checking passwords one by one.
  • In-progress process runs lists active process runs across every company you can see, so you can check on onboardings, offboardings, and other checklists in one click instead of digging through each company.

Password sharing link API

New API endpoints let you create and manage password sharing links.

Improvements

MCP

  • Archive and unarchive articles through the MCP
  • New tool for editing companies

Integrations

  • New partner-built section under Admin → Integrations, with inline API key management
  • Faster syncs and matches for Cloudflare, Datto, and Domotz
  • UniFi OS API keys can now be labeled
  • Confirmation dialog added for “Match new customer” on all integrations with customer mapping
  • Editors can use the Move button on integration cards to rematch a card to a different asset
  • Improved management UI for the Pulseway and Halo integrations
  • Halo KB auto-tags now filter out more common filler words
  • Optimized version history lookups, which had slowed integration syncs on instances with large amounts of history

API

  • API keys table now supports sorting and pagination, and has a date created column
  • Company-scoped API keys can read GET asset layout endpoints
  • Company-scoped API keys can create and delete relations when both ends are within their company

Editor and interface

  • New option to pin a static text formatting toolbar to the text editor (Edit Profile → Pin editor toolbar)
  • Mermaid diagrams now support ELK layout and render labeled arrows more accurately
  • Network IP Addresses table columns are now resizable without stretching the table past its container
  • Process template table now has created and updated date columns, sorting, and bulk delete
  • Alerts table now has sorting and created and updated date columns
  • Archived users now show as archived in activity logs

Bug fixes

Integrations

  • Domotz sync now updates company names in Hudu when they’re renamed in Domotz
  • Renaming a company now updates its Datto RMM integration name so it stays in sync with the match
  • Fixed syncs that could hang indefinitely when a third-party API returned a bad or repeating page cursor
  • Fixed syncs hanging after timeouts
  • Fixed the Intune integration so managed macOS devices sync correctly
  • Fixed ConnectWise and Autotask syncs archiving assets that still had an active configuration alongside a retired one
  • ConnectWise company sync now uses the inactive status flag, so custom inactive statuses such as former clients are archived and skipped correctly
  • Fixed company Country/State dropdowns showing blank after a ConnectWise sync
  • Auvik no longer creates company matches for disabled or inactive tenants, which stops “tenant doesn’t exist” sync errors
  • Halo KB sync no longer exports archived or draft articles into HaloPSA
  • Serial and MAC matching is now case- and separator-insensitive, which prevents duplicate assets
  • Customer matching no longer clears your search and filters after you accept or change a match
  • Fixed the integration cards search bar losing focus after each keystroke

API

  • Fixed the GET groups endpoint ignoring company-scoped keys
  • Fixed the notes field not updating when included in POST or PUT requests to the networks endpoint
  • POST and PUT calls to the asset layout endpoint no longer require “fields”
  • Renaming a linked asset now updates the stored name on asset tag fields, so the API matches the UI
  • Added three missing fields to the API documentation (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC tracking fields for website endpoints)

Editor, search, and general

  • Indenting or outdenting several selected blocks now moves all of them, not just the one with the cursor
  • Fixed numbered, nested, and bulleted list behavior in Firefox
  • Draft articles no longer appear outside the KB. Search, record relations, Hudini, and MCP article listings return only published articles
  • Long Hudini replies, especially code blocks, now wrap instead of scrolling horizontally
  • CSV imports for List Select asset fields now parse cell values correctly, which fixes filtering errors
  • Fixed asset layout fields staying locked to Integration after Radar was disabled with a Radar mapping still set
  • Fixed portal users sometimes being redirected to the company home page when opening assets
  • Fixed clicking a user name in the View current access panel showing “Content missing”
  • Hardened domain expiry monitoring for .ca and .co domains
  • Fixed Mapbox geocoding so address fields use the full stored address when resolving coordinates
  • JIT-provisioned users now inherit the default time zone
  • Fixed keyboard navigation auto-submitting when adding a new user
