Why did you switch to Hudu?
SharePoint lacked the structure and security we needed
SharePoint's lack of structure and organization prompted us to start looking for alternatives. Hudu allowed us to structure our data in the way we wanted, whilst simultaneously allowing us to store passwords and secrets securely.

We also use Hudu to monitor expirations — we get 60-day alerts sent to our PSA automatically, so we can begin the renewal process.
Knowledge base
Hudu's Knowledge Base gives IDT Ltd's technicians a fast, structured home for articles and resolutions — so when a ticket comes in, the answer is already there. With custom CSS applied to top-level KB folders, the team has made navigation even more intuitive and visually organized.
Password management
Hudu's built-in password vault gives IDT Ltd a secure, centralized place to store credentials and secrets alongside their documentation — something SharePoint simply couldn't offer.
Expiration monitoring
Hudu's expiration tracking automatically sends 60-day alerts directly to HaloPSA, so renewals never catch the team off guard. For an MSP managing 200–500 clients, automated expiration alerts are a meaningful time saver and a safeguard against costly lapses.
Magic Dash
IDT Ltd has built a customized Magic Dash that displays a list of products enabled for each customer — giving technicians instant visibility into what's active for any client the moment they open their record.
API & customization
IDT Ltd has taken Hudu's customization capabilities even further. Using the API, they've built an AI-powered article formatter that automatically reformats KB articles for better readability — and applied custom CSS to their top-level KB folders for a cleaner, more navigable interface. The fact we can customise it to our heart's content; it feels like our product and not Hudu's.
Hudu Assist
Hudu Assist surfaces documentation and passwords directly inside HaloPSA and NinjaOne, so technicians can access client context without leaving the tools they're already working in.
Self-hosted deployment
Hudu's self-hosted option gives IDT Ltd full control over their instance and data — important for a UK-based MSP handling sensitive client information and operating under data protection requirements.
